The only thing more delusional is his self-image as an advocate of renewable energy and fast Internet.

After some serious soul-searching in the period since he was deposed as Prime Minister in August last year, Malcolm Turnbull has come to the considered conclusion, based on a record-breaking string of poll and election defeats, that he would have beaten Bill Shorten at the 2019 federal election.

His latest revelations about his own brilliance came in a BBC interview overnight and they add to his sober estimation that he was God’s gift to climate action and the NBN.

Cognitive psychologists are salivating at the latest self-serving insights from the former PM, believing it will do wonders for the field of cognitive bias.

Assistant Professor of Cognitive Psychology, Yuko Masataka, said after watching the interview, “I’ve certainly see politicians guilty of overconfidence bias, self-serving bias, framing bias, narrative fallacy, confirmation bias, and hindsight bias. That said, no-one is quite like Malcolm in using them all at the same time.”
