While Shorten leads Morrison 39% to 33% as preferred Prime Minister, the garbage outpolled ScoMo 80% to 20%.
Jeez, it’s a rough morning for the new PM huh? First you find out you are losing to Bill Shorten, then you discover the vast majority of Australians think mountains of fish heads, tyres, dirt, and old curry containers could run the country better than you.
But Aussies have a point. Were masses of garbage dumped at the dispatch box inside the House of Representatives, the resulting pile would still emit far fewer poisonous gases than Scott Morrison.
Many respondents commented that ScoMo just seems like an inferior version of a rubbish dump. To them he too appears like a foul mix of the nation’s detritus, only with less self-awareness.
Underlining this point that Scomo is far more harmful than landfill, 87-year-old Betsy Crocket said “Since when did a steaming pile of garbage ever blame refugees for their own deaths, accuse charity workers of coaching self-harm, run a boat-turnback policy in secrecy, cut the refugee intake, encourage asylum seekers to return to persecution, defend homophobia, slash penalty rates, cut ABC funding, resist a banking royal commission, blame young people for economic problems, bully the states into fracking and make love to a lump coal in parliament?”
Long sentence but good point Betsy.
