Lunch is all about consensus building.
Choosing what to eat for lunch is hard. Sometimes you want a sandwich. Sometimes you want Thai. What if you want both? It’s these kinds of tough decisions the PM wants to tackle head on in coming weeks.
After spending seven hours staring at the specials board of a Sydney restaurant, Turnbull announced a wide ranging national conversation about what he should have for lunch.
Mr Turnbull said “Lunchtime options are complicated. You can’t just dive in and make a decision; you need to thoughtfully consider all the relevant factors: price, taste, convenience, moisture level, country of origin and so on”.
The PM was asked by 730’s Leigh Sales “So what did you have for lunch in the end Prime Minister?”
Mr Turnbull said, “Patience Leigh, all will be revealed in the May budget.”
