Meanwhile, centrist Democrats say this is not the time to offer a meaningful policy vision.
A 20-month investigation led by respected Special Counsel Robert Mueller “did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”
"For establishment scribes who have done very little other than report on this story for over two years, what better way to learn nothing from your own humiliating failures than to crack on with more horseshit conspiracy theories instead of reporting the diabolical social, economic, cultural, and environmental crimes of the Republican Party?
Why report on the multiple factual crises facing ordinary Americans with integrity when your network can make billions reporting on the fictional crises of a reality television President?
And far be it from elite Democrats to use the 2016 election to learn lessons about what it means to lose touch with your working-class base, or how to re-engage millions of disaffected voters. Instead, why not get bogged down in a combination of highly technical legal arguments and baseless speculation?
Why present a popular progressive alternative to an authoritarian, white supremacist President when you can defend the ecocidal status quo and present wishful thinking as fact?
