$29 billion a year seems like a disincentive to hard work. Can we halve that come September or, better yet, scrap corporate handouts?

It’s all well and good to support the fossil fuel industry during these difficult times but HOW ARE WE GONNA PAY FOR IT????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It’s a question now on the lips and forever on the hips of many Australians, who are reluctantly supporting these struggling mega-corporations for now, but are eager to crack down on this kind of corporate welfare as soon as humanly possible.

Many are demanding that after generous government support for so long, come September it will be high time for these companies to stand on their own two feet.
