Following the debate on Q and A about the precise number of Syrian refugees we should accept, the Prime Minister has announced a mathematical formula to solve the problem.
The “bombs for refugees” equation formalises the casual arrangement of the Howard government. Under that arrangement, Australia accepted three refugees from Iraq and two from Afghanistan to "do our fair share" after we joined the US and UK to help kill hundreds of thousands of civilians and create millions of refugees from those countries.
The equation is that .0000000000000000000032456 Syrian refugees will be taken in for every bomb Australia drops on that country. We will therefore be welcoming one million Syrians into Australia in coming months.
