Bill Shorten has addressed the age-old question of Mums and Dads to their kids: 'If Tony Abbott jumped off a bridge, would you?'. His answer is a big fat yes.
While usually the question works to teach children the dangers of peer pressure and crowd psychology, this lesson has been lost on young Bill.
Unable to appreciate the most basic lessons of adolescence, it’s anyone’s guess how far Bill will go to impress his mate Tony. It’s expected that jumping off a bridge is just the beginning, with fears the pair will now conspire to hurl bricks off the bridge at boats below.
In the wake of Bill’s craven bridge jump, Australians are recalling another phrase from our childhoods: ‘I don’t care who started it. I said stop.’
