The PM has since clarified that being Australian is now un-Australian.

Just over a week ago, Scott Morrison said “so long as Australians keep being Australians we’ll get through this together”.

As a result, Australians did what they were told and kept being Australian. In fact, out of respect for the PM’s clear instructions, they did the most Australian things they could think of. They went to the footy. They went to the pub. They went to the beach.

The PM is now bloody furious with Australians for their insistence on continuing to be Australian.

And you can understand where he’s coming from. The least Australians could do is have the decency to be or not be Australians depending on the time of day and Morrison’s mood.
