New Environment Minister to save taxpayers thousands now she won’t require private flights to buy new investment properties.
The woman who resigned as health minister after charging the public purse for charter flights to capital cities, travel to the New Year’s Eve parties of Liberal donors, and a trip to buy a $795,000 luxury apartment on the Gold Coast, has sought to minimise criticism of her appointment by moving her new department closer to investment opportunities.
The Prime Minister has praised Ms Ley’s decision as clear evidence of a fresh approach, a new-look ministry, and generational change, but also the government’s eagerness to continue to the good work of the previous two terms.
