Apart from improving every single aspect of our lives, what has protest ever done for us?
Disruptive climate justice activists, who seem to be fixated on planetary survival at the expense of inconveniencing John from accounting, are doomed to failure like every other protest in history.
Have they learnt nothing from disruptive social movements of the 20th century which did so little to get women and African-Americans the vote, stop the Vietnam war, and end South African apartheid?
Do they not understand, like Joe Hildebrand, that social progress comes about by shilling for Rupert Murdoch?
Not only are they wasting their time voicing a few concerns about the coming apocalypse when they could all hurtle towards catastrophe in obedient silence, but they seem to fail to understand the importance of being on time for the morning office meeting about who’s been leaving their dishes in the sink after lunch.
“Personally, I’d prefer complete ecosystem collapse and total social breakdown than miss out on seeing Janice tell Roger to clean up after himself”, said one angry commuter.
