A man who just handed down a budget which stripped resources from the poorest, most vulnerable Australians to line the pockets of the wealthy on a scale this country has never seen, has given a heart-rending doorstop interview about his genuine concern for the people of Victoria doing it tough under lockdown.

The Treasurer pleaded with whichever authority is primarily responsible for eroding material support for a decent life for millions of Australians to use their powers to end the hardship.
Asked about how seriously the public could take his professed concern for the mental health and freedom of his fellow humans when his government had spent seven years torturing thousands of refugees in offshore concentration camps, Mr Frydenberg chuckled and said they can’t vote.
