“If it wasn’t for the rampant corruption, wilful negligence and sociopathic sabotage of Greens Premiers and Prime Ministers, this wouldn’t have happened.”
Personal playpen of the billionaire class and reputable broadsheet The Australian has featured an interview with renowned family man and environmentalist Barnaby Joyce which blames Greens policy for the current bushfire crises sweeping across NSW and Queensland.
“The problems we have got have been created by the Greens,” he said.
“For example, when Bob Brown was Prime Minister, he spent years subsidising the coal industry to the tune of billions of dollars, abolished the climate commission, denied the link between climate change and more severe bushfires, cut 600 jobs at the CSIRO, repealed the mining tax, scrapped the carbon tax, abolished the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, approved mega-mines in the Galilee Basin, defunded the Environmental Defenders Office, appointed climate skeptics to review our renewable energy targets, scrapped the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, said coal is “good for humanity”, presided over record-breaking greenhouse emissions, dumped the clean energy target, called for new coal-fired power stations, appointed climate deniers to key Ministerial positions, killed the National Energy Guarantee, dismissed climate conferences as nonsense, told climate strikers to be “less activist” , and pledged to outlaw “radical”, “apocalyptic” climate activism.”
“Then when Christine Milne was NSW Premier, she made serial budget cuts to state emergency services, leaving them 120 front-line officers short.”
“Now that Richard Di Natale is Prime Minister, he’s done virtually nothing to address the drought ravaging the country, nor has he heeded warnings by over 20 fire chiefs over the last six months about this impending disaster.”
“Quite frankly, The Greens extremist actions on this issue make me sick,” Mr Joyce thundered.
