Apparently what people in the Kmart really don’t care about is Barnaby Joyce.

Well this is awkward. Notorious recluse Barnaby Joyce has had his recently released memoir Weatherboard and Iron thrown in the discount bins of the nation’s Kmarts while sales of the edited collection The Paris Agreement: Analysis and Commentary have soared.

The news comes only a day after the privacy campaigner and former deputy Prime Minister claimed “people in the Kmart, people in the local pub, they don’t care about the Paris agreement. It means nothing to them. It has no purpose.”

He added “No 1 for the area is drought…the other thing is power prices.”

Now that copies of The Paris Agreement are flying out the door things could get tricky for the diffident lothario as the Australian public gets a clear-eyed understanding of the link between global climate solutions and an affordable and sustainable future, as well as the links between public commentary by Barnaby Joyce, rank hypocrisy, and an intense feeling of nausea.
