A predictable result of an ever-lowering bar.
An MP who has worked for Labor since Hawke sprained his lower back this afternoon after attempting to yet again bend over backwards to clear the descending bar of expectations of the alternative government.
Much like the intervertebral disc degeneration which made this man’s injury more likely, the rubbery discs making up the rest of the Parliamentary Labor Party have also lost their integrity by constantly bending to the will of the Liberal Party for over two decades.
While his friends and family have been telling him for years to stop contorting himself to support Labor for his own physical and mental well-being, the man is too psychologically attached to his Labor identity to give up these desperate acts of self-harm.
