Climate Action Soldiers hoping for ambitious emissions targets outside Paris conference venue.

After 20 years of moral leadership on the issue, no one would question the commitment of Western leaders to fighting climate change. And if you do, expect to be put under house arrest for it.
Every year since the first UN Climate Change Conference in 1995, world leaders have worked tirelessly for climate justice. Thanks to these efforts to reduce emissions, emissions rose only 58% between 1990 and 2010. It may sound bad, but at least their work helped emissions rise by their fastest rate in 30 years in 2013.
This climate conference is no different. All signs point to another tremendously successful outcome for the climate by the end of the Paris summit. With the public banned from protesting and climate justice activists under house arrest and forced to report to local police three times a day, expect a planet saving agreement any day now.
Now the public has been shut out and sent home, the world’s politicians can shack up with the fossil fuel companies sponsoring the summit and really concentrate on taking the least possible climate action they can get away with politically.
