In a somewhat unusual address at the Paris Climate Summit, Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull has taken three glorious minutes to aggressively chant “Axe the tax, axe the tax” at conference delegates.
While Barack Obama used soaring rhetoric to say “The future is one that we have the power to change – right here, right now”, Turnbull borrowed a slogan from his predecessor to lobby nations to scrap their totally lame carbon taxes and opt for the really awesome direct action policies of the Coalition.
Bewildered by the highly repetitive chanting, the Paris audience chose to ignore the Australian PM. They rightly concluded that any climate action promised by a Coalition government is completely and utterly meaningless.
