These mascots for multinationals all look the same.
Senator Penny Wong appeared to mix up the names of McDonald’s mascot Ronald McDonald and Adani mascot Ian McDonald during Senate Estimates hearings on Tuesday.
“McDonald, is it? Any relation to Ronald?” She asked.
“No, it’s Ian McDonald. Spelt A-D-A-N.I.”, Labor senator Louise Pratt said.
Considering Ian’s significant role in killing the Minerals Resource Rent Tax and the carbon pricing scheme as well as his years of cheerleading for the Adani coal mine, it’s extraordinary that anybody can tell him apart from corporate interests.
