Game of Thrones fans thought Joffrey was the ultimate loathsome leader. They hadn’t yet seen Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Until recently, you’d be forgiven for thinking the Australian Prime Minister was a Machiavellian character penned by Game of Thrones scriptwriters.

Like Joffrey, Morrison acts as an amoral sadist who disguises his cruelty with a thin veneer of charm. He has no sense of personal responsibility, blaming failures on others. He is made ruler and used as a puppet by the Cersei Lannister of the Three Kingdoms of the UK, US, and Australia: Rupert Murdoch.

But with the PM’s latest comments about punishing indulgent, selfish activists who actually care about the planet and the future of their children and communities, he’s going beyond even the evils imagined for Joffrey, making the boy king look like a mature, restrained, compassionate, democratic leader by comparison.
