Try as he might to hold him together with glue and bits of sticky tape, the puppet master is already scouting for replacements.

First born son of Emperor Palpatine, Rupert Murdoch, is said to be regretting his elevation of Scottie the Rat to King Muppet back in August 2018.

Despite successfully crawling his way to re-election in May, it has quickly become clear from his catastrophic bungling of the bushfire crisis that the Rat King can’t even pretend to lead.

Scottie’s fatal fall from saviour to sewer rat has Murdoch scrambling for a replacement King.

Dutton the Dog is the leading contender, but millions of Australians are clamouring for the whole show to be cancelled.

*With sincere apologies to Jim Henson as well as the rat and dog kingdoms.
