Side-splitting comedy from the Liberal Party.

After a brief pause due to the Sunday morning news that the gap between Phelps and Sharma had narrowed substantially, today the nation has carried on laughing as the SMH reported that “Even the best postal vote scenario for the Liberal Party would still see Kerryn Phelps win Wentworth”.

While party poopers like Helen Razer have brought up accurate criticisms of Phelps as basically a replacement Turnbull, most Australians are rightly reveling in this appetiser of just deserts ahead of the fine dining experience of schadenfreude next May.

While there’s nothing funny about the immeasurable damage these vicious vandals have done to our country, there’s nothing funnier nor more satisfying than watching their demise.

Maybe we do live in a meritocracy after all.
