It’s time for us to pull together, ignore all the systemic causes of our problems, and stay ill-prepared for national disasters of the future.

In times of crisis, it’s very important that all key features of a democracy be suspended and we trust right-wing authoritarian governments run by Rupert Murdoch and coal barons to do the right thing by the people.

To do things like journalism is to endanger the plans of the kleptocrats in charge to go full shock doctrine.

To have things like parliaments is to recklessly threaten the squillions big business could make out of the suffering of the most vulnerable.

To criticise the government in any way is to disrupt their death cultish desires to march us all into the climate apocalypse, and we definitely wouldn’t want to do that.
