The Morrison Government has moved to suspend democracy for five months to mitigate any undue risks of conservative politicians contracting a social conscience.
Tuckered out from a big day of what passes for democracy in this country, the PM has decided it’s time to give it a rest for a while and just go with unchecked authoritarianism instead.

No.
In this crisis, Parl must meet (where safe to do so) so no-one’s left behind.
In 24hrs we found out carers& students miss out on help: who else will we find over coming mths?
In this crisis, we need more democracy, not less.
In what’s being described as the first time Mr Morrison has ever used his power to minimise the accountability of his Government, the people’s representatives will not return to Canberra until at least August. This is totally cool thanks to a Coalition team oozing with talent and dripping with competence, such as the competent waving through of thousands of cruise ship passengers who had been exposed to coronavirus.
