Election date certainty you can believe in!
Conviction politician Malcolm Turnbull has offered up another statement you can bank on, this time regarding a July 2 election.
On gay marriage, Turnbull wrote in 2013 “I support marriage equality and a free vote on the question”, and as Prime Minister...actually, that’s a bad example.
On climate action, Turnbull wrote an opinion piece in the SMH with the headline “Tony Abbott’s climate change policy is bullshit”. As PM, he....hmmmm, scrap that.
On the republic, Turnbull was Chairman of the Australian Republican Movement for seven years. As PM....geez, ummm.....
On refugees, Maclolm expressed concern for asylum seekers on Nauru and Manus and this concern led to, ooh no, deporting babies back to prisons doesn't sound good at all.
On tax reform, Turnbull spoke a lot about tax reform and then, well, spoke some more about not doing tax reform.
On education, Malcolm suggested there would be money to fund the last two years of Gonski and then...
Well now this is awkward.
We can all be sure Australia is going to the polls on July 2.
Unless backbenchers, bankers , multi-nationals or the fossil fuel industry tell the PM otherwise.
