A touching tribute to the mining company’s unwavering respect for black lives.

Following in the footsteps of renowned civil rights advocates Nike, Citigroup, and L'Oréal, the multi-national mining giant which blew up a 46,000 year-old sacred site in Western Australia to mark Sorry Day has launched their own Black Lives Matter campaign.

Rio Tinto has pieced together the shattered remains of the Juukan Gorge cave, “one of the most sacred sites in the Pilbara region” according to the head of local Aboriginal corporation, to spell out “Black Lives Matter” in a brand new 30 second TV commercial.

The mining mega-corporation has been widely lauded for its generous recognition of Aboriginal culture.
