Like an increasingly demented and hateful grandpa, The Australian will not be missed.

Unless of course you’re a big fan of hate, propaganda, and personal vendettas, as well as climate genocide and white supremacist advocacy work masquerading as journalism, in which case the news that The Australian just lost its last paid subscriber will come as a real blow.

On the upside, the festering wound in Australia’s media landscape will now be healed by The Gender Centre, a service provider for people with gender issues, their partners, family members and friends, which has founded a national newspaper.

Despite only being created three hours ago, the newspaper already has more subscribers than The Australian had at its peak, which to be fair, was barely a dozen, let alone a baker’s dozen.
