Their slapstick is hilarious. Their China stance, not so much.
Raucus vaudeville comedy act “George Christensen and His Stooges” have been doing some of the finest physical farce and slapstick in Canberra for some years now.
While few would doubt the comic genius of all their hoofs and goofs, many are wondering whether they are putting Australia’s best put forward when it comes to maintaining our relationship with China.
One can’t help but wonder whether a crude comedy act with all the social mores of the 1920s is best placed to negotiate the relationship with Australia’s most important trading partner.
