Governments spend $5.3 trillion a year holding the hands of fossil fuel companies while they acidify the oceans and accelerate species extinction, according to a new IMF report. Captain Planet’s arch nemesis Tony Abbott has assured the Australian people this price for raising global temperatures is in fact “on special”. He went on to say “down down, prices are down”.
With his best mates in Canada and Saudi Arabia, Mr Abbott has been shopping around for a couple of years now for the best deals on the quickest and cheapest ways to decimate humanity and reduce the natural world to a couple of his favourite animals and plants.
Yet with governments purchasing intensified hurricanes and higher sea levels for more money than they spend on health globally, consumer watchdog ACCC has suggested they ask for an exchange or refund, or at least some kind of lay-by arrangement.
