All those who are not developers or working in finance have been proud as punch of their state’s economic growth figures in recent times.

We all know economic growth is even more tops than cops because it uses the hard work of almost the entire population to increase both the profits of both corporations and the wealth and power of individual white men.

The Berejiklian government has been campaigning hard on the strong economic figures of NSW. This is some long awaited good news for Aboriginal people warehoused in the state’s prisons, homeless people forced from local shelters, millennials who can’t afford a house and can barely afford their rent, nurses and teachers struggling to feed their families, the millions of rotting Menindee fish carcasses, and the country kids in demountables who know education is irrelevant to success in life so long as the growth figures are good.

As you can imagine they’re all also pretty chuffed the Libs are spending billions on better corporate boxes at Sydney stadiums when 18 million would do and the rest could have gone to actually helping people.
