Turns out Radovan is an absolute sweetheart.
You’re in for an absolute treat tomorrow night as Australia’s most likeable TV personality drops in on Serbia’s least likeable war criminal.
This week Annabel travels to the United Nations Detention Unit in Scheveningen, The Hague, taking her gorgeous Pavlova with date syrup as a gift for the ‘Butcher of Bosnia’, Radovan Karadzic. Some thought it was dangerous and foolish to try to humanise a man charged with 11 counts of war crimes including the genocide of Bosnian Muslims and Croats. But gosh, when I saw him greet Annabel at his cell door with flowers, I knew Karadzic was alright.
Crabb is her usual effervescent self and really brings out the best in the genocidal maniac, who, frankly, after seeing him lovingly make those soft and fluffy chapatis, just seems misunderstood.
Must-see TV.
