Prime Minister Scott Morrison has already leaked his victory speech to the press. It’s titled “How good’s Scott?”

Like some kind of political/religious wunderkind lovechild of Maggie Thatcher and Frank Houston, Scott Morrison is set to scoop the pool at this year’s Australian of the Year awards.

The PM will not only MC the ceremony using a series of rhetorical questions, he will also present all awards to himself for his outstanding handling of the climate and bushfire crises. This includes Local Hero, Young Australian of the Year and Senior Australian of the Year, in addition to the main title.

While news of his award-winning leadership may come as a bit of a surprise to the climate scientists, campaigners, protesters, fire chiefs, and terrified citizens he’s ignored or undermined over the years, what they refuse to recognise is that he’s made an ad.
