Fossil fuel execs receiving $29 billion a year in handouts breathe a sigh of relief as the Government pledges to only target vulnerable people.
A recycled plan to place welfare recipients who test positive for drugs on income management initially sent shivers of terror through the fossil fuel industry, before they remembered they own the Government.
The relief was palpable as they realised they could continue using their $10,000 a week cocaine habit to accentuate their risky behaviours and enhance the egotism and astonishing arrogance required to believe their company’s profits are more important than the survival of the entire Pacific region.
Though critics have noted that the targeting of poor welfare recipients who do no harm to the planet and the exemption of rich welfare recipients who are murdering all life on Earth seems a bit unfair, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg pointed out that poor people make him uncomfortable.
