Neoliberalism has been widely discredited. Even its main global evangelist, the International Monetary Fund, have learned some lessons. They admit it fuels inequality and hurts growth.
Yet still Malcolm’s answer to everything from the instability of Brexit to his favourite single malt whiskey is the same neoliberal con job: “Jobs and Growth”.
The PM has been a journalist, lawyer, businessman, banker, and politician. Thank God he was never a doctor. Who knows how many diabetics he would have prescribed Mars Bars.
