Such suffering, and he was just a child.
The Treasurer is on fire. Following his robust claims that being teased on social media is much like systematic oppression, Scott Morrison has compared his experiences on his primary school camps to life in Australia’s offshore prison camps.
Mr Morrison said “The conditions on my Year 6 school trip to Canberra were appalling. On the bus down from Sydney’s Eastern suburbs we ran out of petrol, stranded like a bunch of boat people on the high seas. Our teachers forced us into mid-range hotel accommodation and fed us only two-course meals. We even had to watch Malcolm Fraser in Question Time promise to resettle Vietnamese refugees in Australia. It was sickening."
Morrison then compared the long wait for a sausage at his primary school fete to the 228 year wait for justice for Aboriginal people.
