“Tone it down Scott, it’s getting embarrassing”, Morrison’s God said.
A sternly worded letter from the Prime Minister’s special friend in the sky addressed to Mr Morrison has called out the self-described leader for committing the nation to fundamentalist principles of Christianity rather than fundamental principles of democracy.
God crafted the letter after watching some fairly disturbing footage of a democratically elected Clive Palmer puppet using his Prime Ministerial office to offer a prayer that begins “heavenly father, we just commit our nation to you in this terrible time of great need and suffering of so many people”.
“Scott, mate, you suspended parliament for five months during a time of immense national crisis, you refused to allow the Opposition Leader to join your national cabinet, you put a mining CEO in charge of a public health crisis response, and now you’re devoting 25 million Australians to me in a prayer session organised by the Canberra declaration, a fundamentalist group against same-sex marriage and abortion.”
“I know you’re not a big fan of the separation of church and state, but even for me you’re coming on a bit strong.”
