It’s been a rough day for the Yarralumla postie.
The Governor-General of Australia, someone apparently called General David Hurley, has been overwhelmed by post office packages after the release of the palace letters this morning.
In light of The Great Election Robbery of 2019, the Prime Minister’s woeful mishandling of the bushfire crisis, his ongoing perpetration of climate crimes, and levels of smugness consistently hitting either ‘extreme’ or ‘catastrophic’, millions of Australians have been moved to send General Hurley some helpful historical material on how to go about dismissing a Prime Minister.
Given the corruption scandals engulfing the Morrison Government make Whitlam’s ministers look saintly, given that the Senate retains the power to block supply, and given that the Governor-General retains the powers of 1975, expect news of Morrison’s dismissal any day now.
