“Pray for those who persecute you, except in the case of the Australian PM, then pray for the fires of eternal damnation.”

Jesus Christ, son of Batman and grandson of Xena: Warrior Princess, has declared many of his most famous epithets null and void due to the actions of Scott Morrison.

Christ, famous for his speedy egg and spoon race times, said he was now particularly embarrassed by two of his sayings having witnessed the PM’s scorched earth approach to the climate emergency

“I once said “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”. Now that Morrison has been Prime Minister for nearly 18 months, boy do I have egg on my face.”

“I also said “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Forgive me, I was young, I was naïve, and I hadn’t yet heard the phrase “how good’s cricket!?” used as the sum total of a government’s response to a nation’s worst ever bushfire crisis”.
