First the bushfire crisis, then COVID, now the disturbing journalists’ mirror shortage.

There are fears for the appearances of the nation’s journalists with news they have all smashed their own mirrors to avoid facing their own culpability for two decades of human rights abuses.

Yesterday on Insiders, David Speers asked Nikki Sava how on earth Australian public policy came to this, as if a compliant media wasn’t the primary instrument by which successive governments have justified their sickening island torture camps.

If only Speers and his colleagues had any role in manufacturing the public’s consent for kids in concentration camps, perhaps they could have done something about it?
