Global institutions leap into action to prevent capitalist contagion.
Ever alert to the importance of perspective and always grounded in fundamental principles of objectivity and truth telling , the world’s media has switched from saturation coverage of coronavirus to rolling updates on the lethal dangers of inequality.
The switch came as soon as journalists got wind of the mortal dangers posed by capitalism, like the two million children who die each year from preventable diseases such as diarrhea and pneumonia because they are too poor to afford treatment.
Thanks to this deluge of hyperventilating media reportage about the disturbing symptoms and virality of capitalism, the 1.3 billion people living in extreme poverty, the 805 million people who don’t have enough food to eat, and the 750 million people who lack access to clean drinking water, are all anyone can talk about.
