“There’s no merit. There’s not even a remedial level of competence. There’s just corruption, cronyism and a contemptible sense of entitlement all the way down.”
On Christmas Eve of 2015 the government released dismal greenhouse gas emissions figures hoping they would be buried by all the presents and pudding.
In 2016 the Government released the March report on emissions nine months late, on the Thursday before Christmas.
Last Christmas Eve they did the same thing.
They pulled the stunt yet again recently, quietly releasing six-month old record breaking greenhouse gas numbers on the Friday evening before the October long weekend.
Canberra insiders say the Government is now holding onto an even more damning report until this Christmas Eve, believing if the transparent trick didn’t work the last few times it’s bound to work this time.
The report includes a list of 123 things the Government has done to destroy our environment as well as 93 things they’ve done to destroy the lives of refugees.
In response to the elaborate attempts to bury the report’s findings that the Government is stacked with nation-plundering proto-fascists, Australians have said, as one, “Don’t bother. We know.”
