Meanwhile Health Minister Greg Hunt has ordered 100,000 new Turing machines to help crack the PM’s instructions.

The nation’s top codebreakers have stayed up all night trying to decipher the Prime Minister’s late-night press conference to give the public a chance in hell of knowing what on Earth he’s on about.

However, due to record low levels of trust in our public institutions, millions of Australians have taken matters into their own hands.

Not only has there been a run on books of cryptic crossword puzzles, but downloads of The Imitation Game, the 2014 historical drama about cryptoanalyst Alan Turing’s efforts to crack the Enigma Code, have skyrocketed.

Given the greater complexity of the PM’s instructions compared to the Enigma, there is widespread community concern that these efforts will be in vain.
