It’s high time we breed out the blinding whiteness of the broadcast media.
With more than 70 companies pulling their ads from Alan Jones’ radio show so far, there are some self-described humanitarians in the community who think we should “smooth the dying pillow” of the notorious misogynist’s media career.
Much like Daisy Bates, the Irish-born amateur anthropologist who wrote in 1938 that she wanted to “smooth the pillow of a dying race”, those sympathetic to the broadcaster have called for his legacy to be protected and for a humane approach to the death of his radio show.
Others think this is racist garbage in service of the ruling elites and believe he deserves an ignominious end to a phenomenally damaging career.
Much like fascists and anti-fascists and climate deniers and climate scientists, there are good arguments on both sides.
You can follow Mad Fucking Witches for instructions on how to keep up the pressure to sack Jones.
