The PM draws some innovative conclusions from Brexit.
Mr Turnbull has confidently swatted away concerns about a divisive plebiscite on marriage equality by highlighting how well it went in Britain when a weak leader placated the right-wing of his conservative party with a public vote.
The Prime Minister said “When you give a megaphone to bigotry, nothing can possibly go wrong.”
He added “Even if it does go wrong, just like David Cameron, I’m heavily insulated from the violent and abusive consequences by my wealth, privilege, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.”
