War crimes are completely out of sync with a country built on massacres.

A nation which has spent the last 10 years debating whether Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people even deserve recognition in our constitution and the past twenty years prosecuting a global war on Muslims, has been shocked by revelations our armed forces might commit horrific crimes against black and brown people.

“This is unfathomable. We’re a nation of larrikins and battlers, not a nation of war criminals”, said John Howard, whose war in Iraq killed hundreds of thousands of civilians.

“I’m completely shocked and appalled that Aussies could behave like this and think they can get away with it. It’s hard to understand where this culture of impunity comes from”, said Scott Morrison.
