Not only did The Simpsons predict Trump’s presidency, it also predicts how he’ll end up in prison.
Backed into the world’s tightest spot by the Mueller investigation, President Donald Trump has clomped his way right into into even more doo-doo by registering millions of dead people ahead of the 2020 election.
When the President heard that back in the year 2000 The Simpsons predicted his rise to power, the popular animated series suddenly leapfrogged Fox and Friends as his main source of ideas.
Not only does he find Homer Simpson endearingly relatable, particularly when he gets his head stuck in a bridge or both arms stuck in vending machines, he also thinks the show is full of handy instructional tips on how to be President.
One particular 1994 episode called “Sideshow Bob Roberts” took his eye when he realised how much he and cartoon psychopath Sideshow Bob also have in common. Both have a history of criminality, both are Republican (no real distinction there), and both are charismatic TV stars who end up in prison via brief careers in politics.
Trump saw how Sideshow Bob won the election against Mayor Quimby thanks to the votes of thousands of dead people and pets like Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Mr and Mrs Bananas, and Humphrey Boa-gart.
The felon-in-waiting realised the only chance to beat Bernie Sanders in the 2020 presidential election would be to spend a couple of years registering millions of dead voters.
Reporters at Situation Theatre became suspicious about the tactic when they received an email with the subject heading “Voter Registration” requesting a list of dead U.S. Presidents. When they later looked up the electoral roll and found the names of Richard Milhous Nixon, Ronald Wilson Reagan, and George Herbert Walker Bush, we knew we had our man.
To the ecstatic delight of billions around the world, Trump will spend the few remaining years of his life behind bars while Bernie Sanders will win the 2020 election in a landslide against Trump’s replacement, the dumber one from Dumb and Dumber.
