The former Prime Minister has wished the Home Affairs Minister all the best by sending him and delightfully wrapped care package of Woolworths strawberries full of sewing needles.
Speaking from New York, Mr Turnbull said “Mr Dutton has had a tough time of it lately. Between daily allegations of cronyism, lying to Parliament, conflicts of interest and a potential referral to the High Court, I thought he could do with some excruciating pain in his gut to take his mind of all the other pain.”
He added “I know Peter loves his home state so I also thought it was a nice touch that they were Queensland sewing needles.”
As a result of the thoughtful gift, Mr Dutton is now out of action recovering in hospital. The nation is a lot healthier for it.
