In response to some outrage that the Amazon CEO will be the world’s first trillionaire by 2026, Jeff Bezos has pointed out that many of his factory floor workers will also be trillionaires by the year 27,002,026.
Bezos joins other U.S. billionaires, who have made $434 billion in just two months of the coronavirus pandemic, in calling on workers around the world to really knuckle down for a few million years to catch up.
The Amazon founder who’s added $34.6 billion to his wealth, the privacy campaigner Mark Zuckerberg who’s made $25 billion, and the epidemiologist Elon Musk who’s had his net worth jump 48% in the last 8 weeks, have released a combined statement encouraging grocery store workers and nurses to stop being so lazy and create value for a change.
