There’s got to be a copy of the 1948 UN Declaration of Human Rights around here somewhere.
British extremists who seem to hold the view that extinction is a bad thing have limited the public’s ability to have mind-numbing, migrant-hating, planet-burning propaganda forced down their gullets by blockading two UK printworks responsible for Murdoch owned News Corp titles.
Home Secretary Priti Patel described the blockade as “an attack on our free press, society and democracy” which is, unless you are a billionaire, “completely unacceptable”.
A News Corp source defended the company’s stance on climate, saying that Saturday’s Sun carried an opinion piece by David Attenborough on how to tackle the climate crisis. The company was also moving to scrap all single-use plastic used to wrap its titles.
Those last two sentences are both actual things News Corp said and premium satire.
To clarify, what's being halted here, momentarily, is not freedom of speech or 'the media'. It's a one media empire with vested interests in climate collapse, which dehumanises migrants, stokes xenophobia and makes millions off it.
