Pelosi Calls For "Obedient Women's Day" To Prevent Women Speaking Truth To Power

Happy International Women’s Day everybody!! Except you Ilhan Omar, you can shut your truth telling face.

This International Women’s Day, the United States Democratic Party has paid homage to obedient woman everywhere by severely criticising a disobedient Muslim woman from their own party who has failed to bend the knee to the Israel lobby.

The Democrats spent most of the week frothing at the mouth over Omar’s accurate point that lobbyists wield far too much power in Washington, whether they be for Israel, the fossil fuel industry, or arms manufacturers.

In honour of all those women throughout history who have bent the arc of the moral universe towards justice by shutting the hell up about vested interests, the Democrats initially proposed a resolution condemning antisemitism. This was widely read as an attempt to censure Omar pure and simple.

Thanks to a backlash from progressive parts of the Party, this resolution was withdrawn and the Democrats then overwhelmingly passed a much broader motion “to condemn antisemitism, anti-Muslim discrimination, white supremacy and other forms of hate”, which had Omar’s full support. It’s the first time the House has passed a resolution condemning anti-Muslim bigotry.

Ilhan Omar’s comments about Israel come off the back of her interrogation of notorious war criminal Elliott Abrams.

Now that Omar has stepped up her truth telling with some choice comments about liberal deity Barack Obama’s drone strikes and imprisonment of children on the border with Mexico, expect Democrats and Republicans alike to step up emotional tributes to all women who have management positions in big corporations. Of course that won’t take very long so they’ll still have loads of time to try and silence the first refugee congresswoman and crush her political ambition into the ground.
